About

C.KHi, I'm C.K. I was a fine art major in college specializing in drawing and sculpture, but since then my professional and career goals have followed a different, less artistic path. This site is meant to document my quest to dive back into creating by teaching myself to be a comic book artist, writer, and creator. I've given myself 5 years to complete this goal, beginning in 2010. At the end of this journey, I hope to have published a graphic novel based on the comics I produce here in serialized form. As I take this journey, I'll be inviting you all to come along and share in what I'm learning, through mistakes and through triumphs. Hopefully some of the information shared here will help others begin working on their own comics.

Bosh and Bill are the two characters that I've decided to develop. Bosh is an immortal creature, the half human and half bunny rabbit bastard child of the Easter Bunny. He is very old and largely bored with life. Bill is a mortal creature of some sort. He is only 3 years old, amazed by everything, and he doesn't know what he is. Bosh, who has seen a lot, has never seen a creature like Bill and wants to discover what exactly Bill is, where he comes from, and may even find himself discovering life anew via Bill's child-like eyes (something that he may just need). That's the beginning of who these two characters are. The rest will be written in the pages of this site.

This is not going to be a webcomic. This is going to be a full-fledged comic book written on the web. I already tried a webcomic in the past (Screaming Tongue) and it just never really clicked for me. Bosh and Bill as characters are both clicking in my head, so I think this site will be much more successful than Screaming Tongue.

A note on comments: This site doesn't have any, because I don't want to deal with spam. What this site does have, however, is me, who you can contact via email (ck at sampletheweb dot com) or via Twitter (my Twitter account is linked below). If you have questions, ask me, and I'll post your questions and my answers. I may also eventually set up a Facebook fan page where we can talk about the site, the comic, and learning to create comics.

More about the thoughts behind this site can be read in my initial post on the site.
