Faber-Castell TK-FINE VARIO L 0.7 Mechanical Pencil

Feb 26, 2010

vario

The Faber-Castell TK-FINE VARIO L 0.7 mechanical pencil is by far my favorite pencil for sketching and it has been for years. I love this thing so much that I bought a second one just in case my 12 year old (and growing older) original ever breaks. They usually run about $20 directly from Faber-Castell, and the pencil also comes in 0.3mm, 0.5mm, and 1.0mm variant led sizes (I should probably someday buy a whole set, but so far the 0.7mm has always met my needs nicely). What's really cool about this pencil is that you can turn the metal end of the barrel to either a hard or a soft setting that changes the way the device holds the led in place and actually affects the intensity of your pencil strokes.
